A rule I’m quietly ready to loosen is the one that tells me I have to bite my tongue to keep the peace. For a long time, I learned to put other people’s comfort ahead of my own — to stay quiet so things wouldn’t spiral or backfire. Speaking my truth often felt like it only created more problems.

Now, I’m exploring what it might feel like to speak more freely, with honesty and self-respect, without assuming there will be consequences. Not loudly. Not harshly. Just truthfully. Even allowing myself that small shift feels like a meaningful kind of rebellion.

If this resonates, I’d love to know: what’s one rule you’re ready to soften?
